The (w)right shirt

As a host, moderator, interviewer I made the choice to also think about how I dress the right way to any occasion. For every job there is a good outfit, the perfect balance between my personality and the expectations of the customer regarding a certain show, event or program.

Since some years I have the great chance to work with a lovely boutique called June in the City. I was born in June, I believe in coincidence.

The Chinese astrology calls me a Tiger, this is a special year for Tigers. For now what I got was a big number of challenges to face this year, but as I am someone looking at the bright sight of life, I am convinced things will work out just fine and the best is yet to come.

Back to clothes…( I am Twins in our western astrology, maybe that explains my jumps😊)

Does it looks obvious to you as a man to have more than one white shirt in your closet? That shirt that shows strength, power and your ability to fit in. Did you ever dream about THE perfect white shirt?

As a woman I always saw a white shirts as an opportunity to look natural and sexy but more importantly it is an opportunity to show I am unique and different.

Yesterday I was invited by the label WRIGHT because of their 5th year of existence.

Wright and myself met at June in the city. It was love at first sight.

Their idea for the birthday party was to show ambassadors wearing the perfect (W)Right shirt while they were working as craftswomen.

The result is amazing pictures accompanied by a booklet with the stories of these women.

I just love it.

To be able to turn that white shirt (with a male energy let’s be honest) into something that fits you perfectly, where the stains you make show your pains but moreover your hope and dreams is something very special. Congrats Sofie, such a simple, but great idea!

These ambassadors are as the (W)right shirt: white, simple, but ambitiously packed with knowledge and craftsmanship.

I hear you think isn’t a white shirt not a white shirt?

No !

Do you call every banana a Chiquita?

This campaign is about women that have one specialty, a craft.

These ambassadors and myself we are different , because I do not have 1 craft (even though I once was a specialist in dancing)… I am more what you call a generalist.

Last night, after reading their stories, I was wondering do we share the same dreams? And my conclusion is yes we do : we want the world to be (w)right!

I dream about building bridges between the women responsible of the stains of these beautiful white shirt.

Let’s build a better world with the stains we leave behind.
