I will always remember Pippi Långstrum, the red head little girl from the series when I was a little girl.
She is what I call a rebel with a cause. I always felt a rebel myself, not because I wanted to say white when everyone else said black, but because I always felt I wanted to challenge the status quo.
Curiosity might have been the main driver.
A very famous quote of this free-spirited young girl is “I have never tried that before so I think I should definitely be able to do that”, and that is the spirit I have when I start something new in my life (yes I already did many things in my professional life- and I do have many more plans)
Being a very active child, I think the only moments I sat down was when reading a good book. And I remember I dreamed about writing a book one day…or a screenplay for a movie.
In the summer of 2021 I finally decided to start writing that first book.
There is always a first time, for everything you do in life. So I can announce for the first time that in one month from now my first book will be in the bookshops in Belgium and The Netherlands.
The book is about my own experience as a creative generalist and passionate entrepreneur. By sharing my atypical story, I want to convince other creative generalist of their power!
My creativity, my uncensored view of the world, the insatiable thirst for knowledge and the need to constantly gain new experiences are indispensable components for me as an entrepreneur.
I believe we still need specialists but I am convinced that we need people that are able to connect the dots. For me authentic leaders inspire above all by who they are!
Too often we are asked to choose between our many interests.
I believe we can all personally define our definition of success. In five step, each with a letter out of the word REBEL gives you the urge, the insight and the necessary tools to finally jump into a bath full of challenges as an entrepreneur.
I start to get booked for different book launches…I never tried that before, but I am convinced I am definitely able to do that.
