Leadership and wine

I am convinced that authentic leaders inspire above all by who they are more than by what they do. Leadership should be something that is aging like fine wine. A real leader understands that the most important thing to work on is on how he grows himself or herself. It is not about the growth of the company, it is more about how the people that work for you or with you, see you as an inspirator. Being able to make people enthusiastic with the energy you are able to share is something you are born with I guess. However to be able to keep your energy level high enough to continue to inspire and motivate others, demands you to get energized yourself.

Have you ever seen a sports car drive without fuel? Have you ever seen a sportsman without eating? Did you ever saw a tree blossom without water?

I believe that creativity, an uncensored view of the world, an insatiable urge for knowledge and constantly gaining new experiences are great components for successful entrepreneurship and leadership. An inclusive & innovative world needs more than only specialists. Creative generalists can help you to connect the dots. They are able to become the glue between the team. They want to understand others, they are addicted to learning new things and meeting new people that give them new insights. That is why I hope I can inspire with my recently published book.

The best generalist and specialists are people that have learned how to be vulnerable. I have had the immense opportunity to interview amazing leaders, successful people and they all share the same value. They care about other people but they understood that they had to embrace their own ambition first; they accepted that they are work in progress, and will always be work in progress.

I want to help others to air their views. People need to ask themselves the right questions if they want to live their lives happily ever after. My background as a dancer, actress, entrepreneur, moderator, public speaker helps me to be clear in the communication of my own vision and I hope it can inspire others to express their mission.

My fast adaptation skills and helicopter view on business makes it possible for me to get fascinated with many business and translate these ideas to the audience and I love to help leaders to communicate better and more efficient about themselves. My curiosity in people, their dreams, their choices, their fears makes me ask the right questions so we go for extra value.

One of my big role models is Oprah Winfrey, which I see as a leader, a truly inspiring leader, because she is who she is, she changed and still stays the same.

This the art of the true leader, grow without adding fake things, just getting better by aging, the art of great wine as well.
