The road to success is rarely a straight path; it’s filled with twists, turns, and obstacles. It is not easy sometimes because if you think about the things from a realistic perspective you would sometimes avoid making a certain move. I try not to forget that every bold move is a step closer to my dreams.
Making bold moves in your career is about daring to dream bigger, take risks, and challenge yourself continuously. It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone, embracing uncertainty, and being willing to fail and learn.
It is not about doing things you know you will fail, because then I believe you will not move forward.
Sometimes we might believe boldness is about grand gestures only on moments that matter, but experience proved to me that very often it’s about the courage to make decisions that align with your true potential and aspirations.
I believe that it is not only when you're just starting out your career that you need to be bold, even if you have a well-established career, you might still have those dreams, even those you had since childhood, never give up on them. You hold that key to unlocking new opportunities.
Having certainties in life is great and I agree bold moves often come with a degree of uncertainty. I think that this willingness to take risks is what differentiates leaders from followers.
Beside bold leaders we also need innovation, one of the questions I tackled in my book.
As a leader we not only need to stay relevant in our fields but also pave the way for new trends and advancements.
So I try to identify what sets me apart and hope I will be able to use it to my advantage. It gave me the strength and confidence yesterday to make a bold move.
