Think twice

In a world overflowing with information and opinions, the art of listening has never been more vital. Besides listening I believe it is important to be aware of the fact that we all have our own understanding and that we are all biased about many concepts, habits and ideas in life.

Having the courage to use your own understanding is more important than before. I am happy and grateful I do not live in the days where independent thought was discouraged and conformity was the way to be successful.

For me, the process of thinking, knowing, and understanding is not just logical—it's liberating.
Yet, in our quest for knowledge (as I am convinced that like Franics Bacon said : knowledge is power) we must navigate the intricate web of cultural influences that shape our beliefs. From our earliest interactions with family to the guidance of mentors and educators, we absorb a tapestry of perspectives that color our worldview.

The internet, the place we go for collective wisdom, is also a harbor of misinformation. I believe we need to teach our children that in this digital age influential figures have an immense power and that may amplify our biases.

So learning how to think in a critical way becomes a valuable tool.
At the heart of this curiosity lies the art of listening. True listening is more than hearing; it's an active engagement with the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of others.

It's about seeking to understand before seeking to be understood. It is about asking the right questions, but not yet thinking about the next question but being in the moment and really listening.
As I navigate professionally between blogging, writing a book, public speaking, and media interviews, I've learned to value the pause—to think twice before speaking and to listen twice as much.

Every question I ask comes from a genuine curiosity, a desire to delve deeper into the complexities of human thoughts and feelings. It's in the art of listening that I find connection, compassion, and understanding, maybe it is even the most revolutionary act of all and by embracing the art of listening, I am convinced I can unlock new levels of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.

So let's lend an ear and open our hearts.
