Wauw this morning one of my best friends sent me a picture of the sea stating she was thinking of me.

How nice to get this message on a gray morning while walking my dog, she said she was thinking of me because she woke up with Lionel Ritchies song, ballerina girl, saying the song seems as if it is written for me. What she does not know is that I was a huge fan of Lionel, the first disk I ever bought.

I just listened to the song again, when it started playing, memories came back—the rehearsals, the discipline, the endless pursuit of perfection that ballet demands. It’s funny how a song can pull you back in time, to a world where every movement was scrutinized, every step meant something, and every misstep felt monumental.

My Friday thoughts are about this past week as it

My Friday thoughts are about this past week as it has been full of impressions and learning experiences.

One of the advantages of my job as a host and moderator is that I am often lucky to listen to inspiring speakers, this week the keynote from an incredibly inspiring individual, almost blind yet full of resilience was really impressive also as it was the moment I got informed of an injury of my daughter in top sport just before the start of the talk, which immediately put things in perspective.

I moderated many panels alongside investors and scale-ups on an incredible event organized by an awesome team of young entrepreneurs, ambitious students and entrepreneurial young graduates. As volunteers, they are lighting a spark in the Belgian ecosystem.

I also moderated panels that explored the role of sustainability in Flanders, and engaged in a debate with politicians. Each event left me with new insights and a renewed sense of purpose.

Yesterday I gave a presentation on @boektopia about my book “10 Quintessential Questions” and I also had the pleasure to interview Hans Crijns about his book " Love letters to entrepreneurs”. We talked about what makes a “true entrepreneur.” Some people believe it’s a matter of personality—a certain charisma, a risk-taking nature, or a knack for spotting opportunities.

Wat begon professioneel is ondertussen een heel bijzondere band geworden…
