Watching my friend @wimvanlessen yesterday during the 4th edition of Time to Dance reminded me of something I sometimes forget in “adult life”:
once a dancer, always a dancer. Even if it was long ago, your body remembers, your heart recognizes, and the bond with fellow dancers stays for life.

The gala was pure magic: discipline turned into elegance, years of craft wrapped in joy, and that unmistakable feeling of home the moment the music starts.

Happy to share this with @martinehuybrechts69 (thanks for the picture) & @veerleverstraeten and my mother.

So grateful for the art, the friendship, and the reminder that some chapters never really end… they just become part of who you are.

Bravo, Wim. And thank you for making us all feel it again. 💛

In onze podcastreeks “Dat is wel speciaal” by @suyin_en_malyster spreken @celine_malyster en ikzelf met onze gasten over talent, werkgeluk en hun loopbaan en de vele gesprekken tot nu toe brachten concrete, inspirerende voorbeelden die tonen dat een carrière vandaag zelden lineair is en dat verandering vaak vooral een kwestie is van beginnen.

En dat leverde, na een eerste Belgian Podcast Awards in 2025, ook een opvallend patroon op: @belgianpodcastawards

1/Bijna niemand oefent vandaag nog de job uit waar ze als kind van droomden.
2/Bijna niemand bouwde een carrière die uitsluitend steunt op het oorspronkelijke diploma.
3/Veel “specialisten” gooiden vroeg of laat het roer om, en gingen van de ene specialisatie naar de andere.

Wij denken dat dit geen toeval is, want de arbeidsmarkt is fundamenteel veranderd door globalisering en technologie. Eigenlijk weten we zelfs niet welke jobs er binnen 10 jaar zullen bestaan. Misschien zullen er sommige verdwijnen, maar met zekerheid zullen er ook andere ontstaan.

We gingen voor onze podcast al in gesprek met @silviaderom over het specifieke van creatieve generalisten en natuurlijk ook met @rikvera maakten we een iets andere aflevering, al vroegen we ook hem of hij nog wist wat hij wou worden als hij klein was (steeds onze eerste vraag in de podcast)

Eén ding staat vast volgens ons: levenslang leren is geen nice-to-have meer, maar een must. Vanaf volgende week komen we dan ook met een “specialeke” en daarmee willen we professionals die zich vast voelen zitten en al lang dromen van verandering, maar niet durven starten bereiken, maar ook jongeren (en hun ouders) die denken dat één studiekeuze hun hele toekomst vastlegt.

Vanaf donderdag komen de gesprekken met @elke.van.hoof @janfjvermeiren @venderickxkathleen @turbobreinen @lukdewulf @patricia_dbr online.

After our marriage in October(10 /10) 2020 we started to prepare for a honeymoon trip a bit different (shit happens when you marry the love of your life who is a bit crazy 😉)… Roc du Maroc… a beautiful mountainbike trip in the Maroccan desert.

I was unlucky, had a (spectacular is what other said) accident in the woods 6 weeks before the start of the race.
Brook my hand… game over!

A very big frustration… I was training for 9 months and most importantly working on my technical skills and mindset- as falling for me was more than for others the thing not to(blood coagulation issues & medicine)

I tried some times to go out with my bike again but felt I was to scared to fall again…

Frustration & Fear!

My husband successfully finished the RDM in 2025. The images are amazing… wish I could be there myself… accept I will probably never be there.

This Saturday I decided it was about time to overcome this stupid fear and enjoy the beautiful weather.

We had an amazing ride…

Net voor de zomer kreeg ik een bijzondere vraag va

Net voor de zomer kreeg ik een bijzondere vraag van iemand van mijn leeftijd (born in the seventies) die ik al jaren kende.

Of ik mee mijn schouders wou zetten als moderator & interviewer onder een belangrijk verhaal.

In een eerste gesprek in juni, kwam haar eerlijke verhaal: na een jarenlange zoektocht naar haar identiteit, was er plots die onomkeerbare waarheid: ze was een donorkind.

Tijdens de zomer dachten we na over gasten en gingen we met mensen in gesprek, sommige zeiden ja, vielen daarna weer af, begrijpelijk...

Eind september doken we een namiddag de studio in met een prachtige podcast als resultaat (al zeg ik het zelf)

We vertellen een gelaagd & positief verhaal.

Het verhaal van donorkinderen.

Te vaak vergeten we hoeveel partijen een rol en een stem hebben in dit verhaal. Een stem die te vaak in de kiem wordt gesmoord.

We wilden deze podcast niet lang maken, maar we voelen met z’n allen aan dat het laatste nog niet is gezegd. Daar wil ik heel graag verder met deze podcast aan de slag.

Opdat het bewustzijn kan groeien bij iedereen in onze maatschappij of we nu betrokken partij zijn of niet, hoe we met elkaar omgaan in deze hectische wereld kan en zal het verschil maken.
