Think twice & bring your heart.

Having the courage to use your own understanding, is the motto of enlightenment and a long time ago we were not suposed to think by ourselves.

I could not imagine living in times like those. To me it seems logic, this process of thinking, knowing and understanding the things I do and decisions I make.

I do realise that much of our learning is done through cultural transmission. Every person we interact with in our lives gives a piece of themselves to us. Our families instill values in us and so do our teachers, coaches and mentors. Actually our society at large, tells us very often what is OK to believe and what is not.

But we should think twice before accepting everything we see, read and hear. We should be carefull to follow the ideas of very influental people and we also need to think about the fact that we all influence a lot of people around us.

So imagine how many thoughts & hearts of people you influence if you are someone that is a public person....

So think twice before you accept what you read, especially on the internet, as we all seems to agree that the internet contains our collective knowledge. Much of this knowledge is valuable but we need to learn to filter "sense" from "nonsense".

I try to never ignore my own individuality, my personal experience and the intuitive judgment of my brain, heart and body on the things I read and experience. And I honnestly learned how to think twice when I share something, whether it is on my blog, on stage, on camera or in an interview.

So be sure that if I ask you a question, I thought of it twice before asking. Think about your answer, twice.
