Intuition is whispering to us all the time, but we’re usually too busy or distracted to truly listen. Yet, when we make decisions or reach out to people based on a random gut feeling, great things can happen.
Lately, I’ve noticed that some of my tribe is changing. I feel disconnected from people who have been in my life for years, and honestly, that confuses me at times. But deep down, I know that by following my heart and intuition, I am naturally moving away from those who no longer align with me and moving toward those who do. Change is unsettling, but it often signals growth.
Trusting my intuition also makes me more aware of the small things in life that truly matter. The sensation of rain on my face during a run. The taste of good food paired with a rich glass of red wine in good company. The subtle but powerful changes in my body after a hard workout. The smell of a new perfume worn by someone in my team. The simple joy of laughing at my children’s jokes. These moments would go unnoticed if I were only focused on chasing the next big goal.
I’m still on my journey of self-improvement, both in work and in life. But I’ve learned to let go of the constant pressure to optimize, to hack productivity, to always strive for more. Instead, I’m allowing life to unfold and appreciating it as it is, without feeling the need to constantly better myself.
Maybe the best version of ourselves isn’t the one that is endlessly improving, but the one that is most in tune with what truly feels right.
Are you listening to your intuition?
