How do you balance a week when you wear so many hats?

This week, my team came up with a great idea: what if people started sending in questions they’re curious to hear my answers to for the blog or podcast? I loved the idea immediately. And then came the twist: “Why don’t you start by answering our question?” Fair enough. So how do I balance a week when I wear so many hats? Let’s just say: it’s a dance between planning and re-planning.

Because here’s the truth, no matter how well you plan, life throws you both unexpected challenges and unexpected opportunities. The key is to stay agile. I do make plans, I do structure my week, but I also leave room to move things around. I try to build in buffers, so that if something urgent arises, I don’t instantly feel overwhelmed.

I’ve learned that balance isn’t about having equal time for everything. It’s about knowing what matters most in each moment and letting go of the pressure to be everything to everyone, all at once.

And yes, energy matters. I eat well, rest when I can, and move my body, whether that’s training, walking the dog, or dancing and singing around the house (yes, that still happens). These things are essentials and I feel it is a luxury I can take the time I need. Because if I want to show up 100% in all my roles, with presence, clarity, and kindness. I have to take care of myself first, it is something that is not always easy to do, with a big network always asking for things. So learning to say no, is also important, however it stays very difficult for the curious person I am, always a bit in fear of missing out.

So, thank you, dear team, for the question. I hope this inspires others to send me theirs.

Because I believe in the power of curiosity, and I’m more than happy to keep answering, one question at a time.

Let’s see where this takes us.
