Today is 10/10, and I can’t help but pause at the beauty of numbers. Certain dates and numbers have always had a strange effect on me, almost as if they carry more weight than ordinary days. Is it coincidence, or something deeper?
Maybe it’s just the human need for patterns. Maybe it’s numerology. Or maybe it’s simply that some numbers remind us to stop and reflect. Take my daughter in the States, for example, she has been playing with the number 4 in Belgium, but got the number 5 in her new team, which in numerology symbolizes freedom, adventure, curiosity, and communication. And looking at her journey, it makes sense. People with strong “5 energy” are often adaptable, intellectual, and eager for new experiences. That is exactly what she’s embracing right now: stepping into the unknown, carrying her curiosity across borders.
And then there’s today: 10.10.2020. No coincidence that we chose this as our wedding day five years ago. A number that felt right. A date we could never forget. A milestone full of symmetry and meaning. Numbers may guide us, inspire us, or simply give us a little spark of magic.
But beyond dates, beyond numbers, I am reminded of this: what matters most in life isn’t the digits on a calendar, but the love we share. Not how many years we count, but how much love we feel and how much love we make others feel.
So maybe numbers only matter because we attach stories and emotions to them. And maybe that’s the real beauty of it: the reminder that every moment, whether it’s 10/10 or any ordinary day, is a chance to choose love.
