Swiss Army Knife

Sometimes people ask me what my focus is. Well the thing is : I am a Swiss Army knife. On the outside it looks like 1 thing, but when you take a closer look you will notice many things are inside. If the Swiss Army knife is the go-to tool for MacGyver, it has to be pretty good. For a long time a was feeling a bit frustrated as there are many people that are specialists in our world : doctors, pilots, teachers, cooks… that knew from a very young age what they wanted to be when they become an adult. I wanted to be many things. I have been able to realize successfully quit some of the things I wanted to become already, dancer, actress, sales person, model, hostess …. and I have more ideas …So for sure new things will pop up.

I accept finally to be a Swiss army knife. Whether I am wearing my hat of the entrepreneur, the mother, the interviewer, the host, the moderator, the fashion agent, the journalist, the blogger, the writer…I try to be the best version of myself reaching the quality we know of Swiss labels.

I think this doesn’t mean I am not able to focus. On the contrary what I like the most is to dive into new topics and learn new things. I am ok to feel a beginner for a while, but very fast I am able to take control over a subject. I think that makes me a different moderator and interviewer, asking different questions and listening in another way. I think we will need specialist in the future but we do not rebels that see things and connect dots.

With my hat filled with ideas it is good to have people at my side that put some boxes, so I can think out of that box 😊 and sometimes I need people that put me with my feet back on the ground.

But a bike that dropped me literally on the ground a month ago is something that gave me a lot of frustration BUT as I shared the quote this week on my social media : “Success is not final, Failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts” I think what Winston Churchill said is fairly write and since I am a trained Project Manager for almost 15 years now, I understand how projects should work and life became much more easy.

I see taking risks as an opportunity but I will write about that next week (maybe, as I might take another idea out of my handle)
